I now pronounce you husband and wife. We all know what comes next. You may kiss the bride. One of the most important parts of a wedding is that beautiful kiss that seals the deal. It's the end of the ceremony. The start of a celebration and the beginning of a married couple's new journey. And as a wedding photographer in charge of capturing this significant moment, you don't want to mess it up!
Sometimes this can be a difficult thing to do. You may have little control over the conditions. Maybe the kiss happens really quickly or you don't have the best angle. From the timing to the lighting you only get one chance to get it right. And of course you want that kiss to be a genuine, precious moment frozen in time by your camera. Something that people can look back on and treasure for years to come.
But don't forget the other good stuff! Often the little actions right before or after the kiss can be just as wonderful. Maybe there are smiles and laughter. Or maybe the bride and groom go in for a dip and give each other high-fives. In this instance, we were able to witness just an incredibly sweet and touching second before the kiss. When you have a magical couple like Chris and Danielle, capturing a beautiful moment was a piece of cake.
